 KD Prospect:

1. What is a Prospect for the Karamelz?  Is a potential member that is recommended by a member or a person that expresses interest in prospecting to become a member of the club.

3. What is required to become a Prospect with the Club?  KDz promote ridership of females within our community, and we look for females that are current riders with a motorcycle license and a bike.  We will accept interested females that have acquired a motorcycle license and who could hopefully obtain a motorcycle or get access to one within the 6 months prospect period.
4. When does KDz bring in prospects?  KDz accept prospects twice a year in January and July of each year.
5. What happens after I express interest?  You will be sent a KDz membership application to complete and return to either the Business Manager or Vice President.  After returning the application, you will be invited to attend a KD meeting in either January or July (depending on the month you submit your application).
6. What is the prospect period?  The prospect period for those with a motorcycle license and bike is 120 days (4 months); for those that prospect with just the motorcycle license the prospect period is 180 days (6 months).
7. Do I pay dues as a prospect?  Yes.  During the probationary period the prospect will pay monthly dues ($20) that are non-refundable regardless of club vote to become a member.
8. What is "Prospect Protocol"?  When a potential prospect have been invited to attend monthly meetings, the Vice President will take responsibility for the acclamation and leadership of prospects to ensure their compliance and understanding of club etiquette.  Prospects must attend all meetings, club events/functions during the prospect period.
9. How does a prospect know if they have been accepted?  After attending the 1st invited meeting, the club will vote on whether the candidate is a good prospect.  If the Club Officers give a favorable response to receive the candidate as a KD Prospect, the potential prospect will be invited to the next meeting by the President.
10. What happens after completion of the prospect period?  At the end the prospect probationary period, the club members will vote on the prospects membership.  If the prospect is voted as a member, the club President will notify the prospect as such and official club colors/logo will be presented to the prospect.  It is customary that prospects are brought in officially to the KD sisterhood and family during either a KD anniversary party or a KD sponsored event.
